Mohd Farman
CEO, Founder & Master Trainer of Challaang
Mr.Farman started his career in 2007 as a trainer for Quantum, during its Pilot run in India. For the next 4 years, he designed DMS for Hindustan Unilever, Parle, Pepsico, etc. In 2011 he was recruited by Godrej for a prominent position in Sale- IT.
Many bold career choices later, he was made the North IT Head. He considered nothing impossible and detested staying in comfort zones. In 2012, he was faced with yet another dilemma, his then RSM suggested he try his hand at core sales. Despite strong opposition and forewarnings from many of his colleagues, he made the switch. As a test of mettle, Godrej gave him the most difficult area of Sales, riot ridden Western UP. But in order to strengthen his resolve, he took up the challenge. Western UP was rife with issues such as Distributor ROI collapse and failure of business growth. The road was bumpy and full of peril, but with constant hard work and dedication the isues started to unravel. He covered areas such as Shamli, Deoband, Kirana, Meerut, Saharanpur, etc while stationed there. Soon, Western UP became an easy boat to sail , with little to no challenges. Soon after, Mr.Farman was offered a role by Reckitt Benckiser to overlook Central UP and stay in his hometown, Kanpur, which he readily accepted. The areas of Fatehpur, Rae Bareily, Jhansi, Banda, Mohba, Unnao and Kanpur, etc were under him during his tenure.Same as Godrej, Reckitt Benckiser was facing similar issues in Central UP, which after some difficulties were overcome by Mr.Farman.
E-commerce Industries were booming then, and there was scope to learn and grow. So he decided to explore this new avenue in his career, he accepted an offer at Udaan. He single handedly established Udaan’s FMCG network in Kanpur. With the least manpower earning maximum revenue was one of his accomplishments. When Kanpur was on the brink of collapse , and it’s Demand Lead had resigned , it was handed over to him. It was then that the whole of UDaan came to know of his talent and felicitated him for it. Kanpur became the first city to achieve CM1 and CM2. It became the highest growing cities in terms of business of Udaan in India. From a business turnover of 50 lac , he drove it to 20 crore in the span of an year. Mr.Farman was then assigned to Orissa,Bhubaneswar. There, within a month, he was assigned the whole of Odisha and parts of West Bengal. Throughout his career, he had the toughest to deal with. But it was a learning journey. Being from the background of Sales IT , helped a lot in sales and business growth. It was easier to work with data analysis.
